Systran Premium Translator is one of the best translation programs that you can get. It handles most popular languages, like English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, etc. (although we have to pay more for more languages).
The software is split into three main programs. Systran Translation Toolbar is the program that helps you translate a word or a paragraph easily: you get a simple and nice interface with two text boxes and the ‘To’ and ‘From’ language selection.
Systran translation project manager is the main program that offers all the main features. We can create and save projects dedicated to translating a big document. The program highlights the words that cannot be translated so that we can do manual editing. The translation itself is fairly fast and doesn’t require much processor or memory capacity.
Dictionary manager is used to organize user-defined or custom dictionaries. We can include new words, their meanings and translations. We may also import a dictionary from the program's folder and start editing it. Other features included in the package are browser toolbars for web-page translation and MS Office toolbars.
The Systran toolbar program often causes the computer to slow down or hang, but the problem is only apparent for one or two seconds. The included dictionary is not that powerful, but we can hope to get improvements from the developers.
